Lies We've Been Sold
Sometimes I’m just so angry at all the lies we’ve been sold as women. The script, written long before we were born, spelling out some life of servitude we didn’t even sign up for. You clean and cook, birth and raise the babies, provide all of the nurturing, be available for sex whenever we want and we’ll leave the house, make all the money, murder anyone who doesn’t sign up for our way of life and of course make all the laws to make sure we get whatever we want and protect our power.
Who the fuck signed up for this. Women got a really raw deal.
The so called “American way of life” is a fucking sham for women and any single solitary person who is not a white man. How did we not see it sooner and course correct? Not an ounce of thought went into how we would fair in this new world - we didn’t even make the sheet of paper they all signed to make this perfect white male life into laws. You know where it said WOMAN in the constitution - no where.
Why the fuck did they think we were even put on earth? To please them only? To serve them only? Don’t think to hard because the answer is yes. All men are created equal as long as they are white.
If you want to know why people who look like the people who founded this country are pissed and striking out everywhere they can, it’s because they can see their extinction creeping closer than ever. By 2050 the country will be more bipoc than white and that has a lot of hideous humans thinking- this can’t happen - white people must run things. They literally cannot imagine a life where they are not in charge and its fueling a desperate attempt to control - it’s fueling authoritarianism.
For some reason I believed that America was created to be a melting pot of humans from all walks of life. Silly me. I spend a lot of time wondering where all of this is going - where the current administration hopes to land. I think it looks a lot like the Handmaids Tale. I hope we all rise up because the truth is - a future with room for everyone is not the end of anyone—it’s the beginning of something better.
